FAQs Soaps

Is your soap vegan/cruelty free
Yes, all recipes are vegan and to the best of our knowledge none of the fragrances and colourants are tested on animals.
What’s in the soap
Olive oil, coconut oil, raw fair trade shea butter, avocado or sunflower oil, castor oil, cocoa butter. Scented with pure essential oils or paraben-free and phthalate-free fragrance oils. Colours come from natural clays, oxides, activated charcoal and skin-safe cosmetic micas and pigments. Sugar is added to naturally boost lather. Sodium hydroxide (lye) is needed to saponify the oils, and absolutely none is present in the finished product. Colloidal oatmeal is added for skin-soothing feeling.
What’s NOT in the soap
No detergents or surfactants (SLS etc), no parabens, no phthalates.
How long does it last
With proper storage one bar can last for a couple of months of daily showers. The key is to keep it dry between uses - on a soap deck or something that will raise it up and let the water run off. Letting it sit in water will make it mushy as the naturally occurring glycerine will attract water.
How to store it when not in use
Cool darker place, away from high humidity and direct bright light. Don’t keep in air right box, let a bit of air get to it. Properly stores soap can last years.
Can I use it on my face
All recipes were designed as a full body bar, so they shouldn’t feel drying to the skin. That being said, please remember that everyone’s skin is different therefore please check all ingredients noted on a soap before using it.
Why does my soap look different

All products are made, cut and packaged by hand and in small batches, so there may be slight variations in appearance from one batch to another, or even within the same batch (especially soap!). Also, please keep in mind that moisture slowly evaporates from soap even after the initial cure, so over time your soap may be slightly lighter than when you received it.
